아울러 이번 대회가 원활히 진행될 수 있도록 헌신적으로 준비해 주신 관계자 여러분께도 진심으로 감사드립니다. 여러분의 노고와 열정이 있기에 이번 대회가 더욱 빛날 것입니다.
이순신 장군의 한산대첩이 살아 숨 쉬는 역사와 한려수도의 수려한 자연경관이 어우러진 통영은 문화ˑ예술과 스포츠가 조화를 이루는 도시입니다. 특히 푸른 바다와 해안선을 따라 이어지는 도로는 자전거 스포츠에 최적의 환경을 제공하며, 많은 선수와 동호인들에게 사랑받는 명소로 자리매김하고 있습니다.
통영시는 그란폰도와 자전거 대행진을 비롯하여 월드트라이애슬론컵 등 다양한 국제·전국 규모의 스포츠 대회를 지속적으로 개최해 오며, 스포츠를 통한 도시 경쟁력 강화와 지역 활력 증진에 힘써왔습니다. 이러한 경험과 역량을 바탕으로 이번 대회 역시 선수 여러분께 수준 높은 경기 환경과 잊지 못할 순간을 선사할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 준비하였습니다.
특히 통영의 코스는 아름다운 풍광 속에서도 끊임없는 도전의 연속으로, 선수 여러분의 기량과 전략, 그리고 강인한 정신력을 시험하는 특별한 무대가 될 것입니다. 곳곳에서 펼쳐질 시민들의 뜨거운 응원 또한 여러분께 큰 힘이 되어줄 것이라 믿습니다.
이번 대회를 통해 그동안 갈고닦은 실력을 유감없이 발휘하시고, 선수 간 우정과 스포츠 정신을 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이 되시기를 바랍니다. 아울러 통영에 머무시는 동안 지역의 맛과 멋, 그리고 사람의 정을 마음껏 느끼시며 소중한 추억을 만들어 가시길 바랍니다.

Welcome, and a warm greeting to you all!
I sincerely welcome all athletes who have come to Tongyeong, a leading coastal tourism city of Korea’s South Coast, to participate in the 「Tour de Gyeongnam 2026」.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all officials and staff
whose dedication and hard work have made this event possible. It is through your efforts and passion that this race can truly shine.
Tongyeong, where the historic victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin at the Battle of Hansan still lives on, is a city where rich history meets the breathtaking scenery of Hallyeosudo. It is also a place where culture, arts, and sports exist in harmony. In particular, the roads that stretch along the blue sea and coastline provide an ideal environment for cycling, making Tongyeong a beloved destination for both professional riders and enthusiasts.
Tongyeong has continuously hosted a variety of international and national sporting events, including gran fondos, cycling festivals, and the World Triathlon Cup. Through these efforts, we have strengthened our city’s competitiveness and enhanced local vitality through sport. Building on this experience and capacity, we have made every effort to prepare this event to provide athletes with a high-quality racing environment and unforgettable moments.
The courses in Tongyeong, while offering stunning scenery, also present a continuous series of challenges. They will serve as a unique stage that tests your skills, strategy, and mental strength. We are confident that the enthusiastic support from our citizens along the course will also give you great encouragement.
We hope this event will be an opportunity for you to fully demonstrate your abilities, and to share friendship and sportsmanship with fellow athletes. We also invite you to enjoy the flavors, charm, and warm hospitality of Tongyeong, and to create lasting memories during your stay.
