경남을 찾아주신 세계 각국의 선수단과 내외 귀빈 여러분, 반갑습니다. 경상남도지사 박완수입니다.

푸른 남해안의 물길을 따라 승전의 역사가 흐르는 경남에서 「투르 드 경남 2026」을 개최하게 되어 매우 뜻깊게 생각합니다. 대회 준비에 애써주신 모든 관계자 여러분께 깊이 감사드리며, 경남을 방문해주신 선수단 여러분께 따뜻한 환영의 말씀을 전합니다. 

「투르 드 경남」은 지난해 첫 국제대회를 성공적으로 개최하며 아시아를 대표하는 사이클 대회로서의 가능성을 세계에 알렸습니다. 무엇보다 단순한 경기를 넘어 지역과 세계를 잇고, 스포츠의 힘으로 새로운 가치를 만들어낸 뜻깊은 첫걸음이었습니다. 이번 대회 또한 그 가치를 이어, 수백 년의 역사가 깃든 남해안의 길 위에서 선수들의 뜨거운 열정이 스포츠와 역사, 자연과 하나로 어우러지는 감동의 무대가 되기를 바랍니다.  

앞으로도 「투르 드 경남」이 경남과 세계를 잇는 가교가 되어, 아시아를 넘어 세계가 주목하는 국제 스포츠 대회로 힘차게 도약하기를 기대합니다. 

선수 여러분 모두 부상 없이 안전하게 완주하시기 바라며, 여러분의 도전과 열정을 늘 응원하겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Distinguished athletes and honored guests from around the world, welcome to Gyeongnam. I am Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do Province.

It is truly meaningful to host the Tour de Gyeongnam 2026 here in Gyeongnam, where the waters of the South Coast flow alongside the history of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s victories. I sincerely thank all those who worked hard to prepare this event, and warmly welcome all athletes and teams visiting Gyeongnam.

Last year, the Tour de Gyeongnam successfully held its first international race, showcasing its potential as one of Asia’s leading cycling events. More than just a competition, it connected regions and the world while demonstrating the power of sport to create new value.

This year’s race will once again bring together the passion of athletes with history, nature, and sport along the historic roads of Gyeongnam’s South Coast. 

We hope the Tour de Gyeongnam will continue to grow into an international sporting event that attracts global attention beyond Asia.

To all athletes, I wish you a safe and successful race, and I will always support your passion and determination. Thank you.
